The Racing Quattro Carbon, on the other hand, incorporates an extremely advanced carbon fiber rim with technology deriving from wheels that come at a much higher price point. The carbon fiber rim allows for less rotational weight and thus increased reactivity in addition to an overall lower weight. Quicker accelerations on both the flats as well as on inclines and less weight to drag up the longer climbs that challenge every rider eventually. Working with carbon fiber allowed the engineers at Fulcrum to develop an aerodynamic shape that reduces drag and allows the athlete to use his energy to propel himself in front of the competition as opposed to fighting against air resistance. - See more at: http://www.fulcrumwheels.com/en/news/2015/collection/road/products/Racing-Quattro-2016#sthash.OujkLLrH.dpuf
Was looking for a quality 40mm wheel set. Considered the Reynolds Assault SLG & Zipp 303, but decided on these after calling and talking to the guys at Glory Cycles. After a month of riding, I made the right choice. These Fulcrum racing quattro carbon wheel set is light, spin up fast, are stiff and strong. On the flats once up to speed they hold it well with a very smooth ride. I noticed a big difference when climbing, the rims are stiff and solid with no flex.
The only challenge I have is that the front brake pads "squeal" a little, will go back to my LBS and have them look at it. Overall, a very solid wheel set.
