Open UPPER Gravel Bike - Price and Availability

Posted by

We were very excited to see Open release a revision to the ground breaking Open Up gravel bike. The UP has been a fantastic bike for us so many excellent builds and so many happy miles for it's owners.

The New UPPPER is a lightweight version of the UP with notable upgrades like flat mount brake mounts and a re lightweight through axle for the fork. Overall it's all the goodness of the Up in lighter frame that can rival most lightweight road bikes for performance.

The UPPER takes the rider one step closer to a single bike to rule them all. The upper can be built with a set of road wheels and come in as light as any decent road bike. We love this idea.

Retail for the frame set $4499 contact us for a full build.

As of March 2017 availability is scare, Medium is sold out and only expected 3rd week in April. Other sizes are available.

Crank Length - Bigger Is Not Always Better

We often get fit questions from customers. One of the most common queries is crank length. Looking at pros’ crank lengths we’re tempted to emulate our heroes. I remember using 180mm cranks because I saw five time Tour de France winner Miguel Indurain destroy the competition using that same length. Recent Tour winner Chris Froome [...]

Eddy Merckx Sallanches 64 Review, Sale Price & Weight

First time I heard about the Sallanches 64 the 900g frame weight stuck with me - most Merckx frames are not near this light. The price hit me as well. With Ultegra 6800 it was a $3000 bike, which is super impressive. I was interested to see one up close and ride. When I got [...]

Glory Cycles Takes On Rapha Prestige Ride

Here at Glory Cycles we love to ride bikes. Our staff includes racers, triathletes, to daily commuters. So when it was brought to our attention that Rapha was promoting a Prestige Ride in Appalachia we were intrigued. The Rapha Prestige events aren’t races - they’re “unsupported, unsanctioned, and un-marshalled” rides. This August 13th, the British cycling clothing company’s next [...]
