In the rapidly expanding and changing world of gravel, the Chapter2 AO gravel bike bridges the entire genre. From long distance enduro epics to full gas racing to exploring new roads and trails, the AO is versatile enough to not only adapt, but excel, wherever the road might take you. Its spirit is encapsulated by a quote along its top tube: Not All Who Wander Are Lost.

Chapter2 began with an all new geometry that features a (when compared to the Chapter2 Tere) higher stack, longer wheelbase, dropped BB, and slacker head tube angle in pursuit of a more stable ride in off-road situations. The reach remains similar, as does the trail, meaning that the Tere and AO will feel similar and does not have that ‘sluggish’ feel that plagues many slacker off-road bikes.

What does this mean in simpler terms? The AO is stable offroad, yet still feels like a road bike. It is the very definition of the genre-blending space gravel riding occupies. Chapter2 even added a nifty feature that allows the user to adjust the effective length of the chainstays based on tire size and user preference.

This versatility continues with the AO’s ability to run 2x or 1x, cable routing for a dropper seatpost, and clearance for 700c or 650b tires. There are mounts for fenders, three bidon cages, and a bento box, yet the AO is lighter than many other touted gravel framesets on the market. Pair all this with an English threaded bottom bracket, a 31.6mm carbon seatpost, flat mount disc brakes, 12mm thru axles, compatibility with mechanical or electronic shifting, and you begin to see the true scope of riding possibilities the AO can deliver.

The Chapter2 AO ships as a frameset with a carbon seatpost, stem, headset, spacers, and thru axles. If you want top build a complete bike, contact us cycling@glorycycles.com.
